Water Element Flow

In this practice we work to restore our inner flow. Sometimes the body craves structure and stability to restore fluidity and sometimes we have to get out of our own way and explore fluid pathways, fluid transitions, to be like water, as Bruce Lee famously said:
“Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves. Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless, like water.”

Class focuses on stability of the hips and core while unraveling tension from neck/chest/shoulders. Expect lateral side body opening such as reverse gate and Parvritta Jane Sirsasana and time to both strengthen and mobilize the hips in Pigeon and Supta Virasana.
