Binds
We start with a slow unfurling of the front body: heart center, hip flexors get time and space to breathe and open before we move into core strength and a flow that starts simple but layers in complexity. As we move into folds we draw attention to the cascade of the spine, the tipping of the pelvis, the full exhale into compression core, and the action of shifting weight forward in the feet. Class focuses on binds: we will visit Bird of Paradise, Kurmasana, Twisted Root, and Bound Side Angle Pose. We finish with pigeon and close attention to the actions of Parivrtta Janu Sirsasana.
