Ground your Feet. Open your heart. (anything is possible)
I came back from a beautiful week leading retreat in Mexico feeling connected to my heart, body, breath, the elements, old and new friends, and the wisdom so generously shared by the Mayan healers for our collective awakening.
We emerged from the cocoon of jungle and Carribean sea feeling Renewed. Relaxed. Open hearted and ready for Spring. As one student said, like it’s the first time we had really breathed in a long while.
This class is to ground you if you are feeling anxious. This class is for you if you have been spending too much time on airplanes, trains, and cars. Get back into your legs. Get back into your breath. Relax your mind and open your body. Your heart will follow. We twist, we open the hips, we do some perpetual motion handstands and headstand-handstand with blocks at the wall. We breathe down to those spaces that tend to hold onto fear and stress: the neck and shoulders, the dense thoracolumbar fascia, the guts, the glutes. It is simple but you will leave feeling both energized and still, expansive and rooted, wild and calm.
